The Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scout Community is deeply saddened by the events of September 11, 2001.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families.

On January 12th, 2002, the Tuckahoe/Eastchester Community held an event for the Junior Scouts.  The Juniors worked on the "Ms. Fix-it" badge.  At that time, the girls made a banner dedicated to the World Trade Center victims from Eastchester and Tuckahoe.

On January 22, 2002, the Community presented the banner to the Eastchester Town Board.  It will be on display in the Town Hall for a few weeks.  Thanks to Anna DiLegge for a wonderful job on the design of the banner.

Each star on the banner has the name of a victim from Westchester and Putnam counties.  There are 108 stars in total.

Laurine Ruth has been a leader in the Tuckahoe/Eastchester Community for over 30 years.  On February 6, 2004, she celebrated her 60th birthday.  We had a small party to celebrate.
